4 Tips for Going Back to Work After The Holidays

Do you have a hard time transitioning back to work after the holidays? Trust me, you are not alone.

Not everyone finds it easy getting back into the full swing of work after the holidays. This transition can sometimes be harder for people who do not find some form of joy or fulfillment in their job(s). Whether your work is your calling or your job is more of a means to an end, here are fours tips to help make this back-to-work period less stressful for you.

Leverage Your Personality

Start your work week with activities that align with your personality. If you are a people person, opt for tasks that bring you in contact with other people, either virtually or in person. Say yes to that zoom meeting invite, attend that in-person hang out with your work colleague, go to that virtual or in-person coffee chat with someone who wants your advice or is seeking your expertise.

For my fellow introverts, get your creative juice flowing and energy levels up by working on a project/task that’s not heavy on social interactions. Think drawing up your business plan, conducting online research, working on the first page of that book you have always wanted to write, recording an episode of your podcast, etc.

Be Practical When Setting Goals

Remain practical when setting your goals for the year. You don’t want to be overly ambitious with your goals for the first few months in a way that brings on anxiety. Find that sweet spot between ambition and practicality. Doing so will make it easier for you to be kind to yourself should you end up accomplishing some of your goals.

Say Yes To Only The Right Opportunities

In the vein of practicality, do not say yes to work or personal opportunities irrelevant to your goals for the year. Before you agree to an opportunity, ask yourself; will this opportunity bring me closer to being the person I desire to be? Will it help me advance my career, my health, or make my relationships more meaningful? Will this opportunity bring me peace at the end of the day?  If your answer is not a definite yes, then let that opportunity go.

Nourish Your Mind & Body Appropriately

You are better equipped to handle unexpected stress, regulate anxiety, and approach new opportunities with the right mindset when you are well-nourished. So be conscious about what you feed your body and mind. Try to add a variety of natural whole foods that support optimal physical and mental bodily functions, from immunity to the regulation of energy levels and stress.

To make it easier for you to get the nutrients and natural compounds you need to thrive physically and mentally, ORÍSUN offers you natural wellness blends crafted from nutrient-rich and functional African plants.

Get the mental clarity you need to plan and execute your January goals with a daily dose of Amaranth Daily Greens Blend. This botanical blend also helps boost immunity, which means fewer sick days and more days working on your professional and personal goals. You can also do away with days spent laying in bed every month due to intense menstrual cramps by adding a dose of Baobab Balance & Beauty Blend to your daily beverage. Plus experience a natural skin glow that doubles as a confidence booster when interacting with your colleagues or business partners.

In all, a well-nourished you is one better equipped to get back to work with the right mindset and say yes to opportunities with your goals and personality.
